Our Last Summer Vacation Evening of 2007

Tomorrow starts High School, Middle School, 3rd grade, 1st grade, early bedtime, early wake ups, packing lunches, microwave breakfasts, homework.....whew...we'd better make the next two hours fun! We headed over to the other side of the lake to Pop-Pop's dock. There isn't a house there, just a beautiful dock, sandy beach, warm water and our camper. We started with dinner in the camper; pizza, coke and Stacey Hunter's delicious mandarin orange salad that helped me make friends here in Lake Placid!

After dinner we hopped into Pop-Pop's boat and enjoyed the wind in our faces and the beauty of Lake June...

After our boat ride by Captain Kyle we enjoyed copious amounts of ice-cream with lots of sugary toppings....

Then for a swim in the lake.....

... a final "Good-Bye" to summer vacation....

and "BOO HISS" to the ready-to-go backpacks ....

But they went anyway.....and had a great day! P.S. Don't you think Kyle's expression in every one of the pictures in this post says, "I'd rather be in Russia!"....he had a great time there!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Preparations started early....the requested fruit pizza was not to be decorated any old way.....

We started off the evening with Claire's appetizer extraordinaire and strawberry belinis.

Nana takes the time to give everyone's gift and card special attention.

Birthdays are special in our house, and I hope Nana felt as special today as she is to us everyday......We each had to complete the sentence, "What would we do without Nana, she always......" It seems making food for us is high on everyone's list.......

Presenting......the fruit pizza, with three beautiful flowers designed by three artists.....

Happy 75th Birthday Nana, We Love You!!

He has a look in his eye.....

Rose bushes with a promise to plant them in any area of Nana's choice.....

A game of pool, anyone? We hope Nana had as fun an evening as we had preparing it for her......
